President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva holding a PC with Special Adviser César Alvarez looking on. Notice, too, the penitent Jesus looking over the scene. The performances we allow leaders seem endless and without number!
Brazilian President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, “received symbolically the first Classmate PC from Intel from the hands of his special advisor, César Alvarez. The educational platform was delivered to Alvarez by the President of Intel do Brasil, Oscar Clarke in a meeting held in Brasilia.
The equipment is a part of a lot of 30 units that were delivered to the Brasilian Ministry of Education (MEC), with the purpose of being evaluated by specialized technicians from the Government, SERPRO, Research Centers and Universities.
As a component of Intel’s support for the Federal Government Project ‘Um Computador por Aluno – UCA’, Intel will donate 800 units to be delivered in April. The educational notebooks will be tested in two public schools in the cities of Piraí (RJ) e Palmas (TO).”
Do they really need to have these evaluated by “specialized technicians from the Government, SERPRO, Research Centers and Universities”? I think I see “um computador por agente” as far more likely than “por aluno.”
